I waited about four months to report. ...
I waited about four months to report on thist. Now I decided I have to comment this here. I clip either one of these lights on to my dogs collar when we are walking at night. It's way brighter than any of the ones you buy at the pet store. And, it's rechargeable! You can see the reaction of cars on my street when they see the light, they slow down. If you walk your dogs at night, you really should get these. I also have added a rechargeable caller that lights up ........ UPDATE the chrome ring fell off. Doesn't bother me. These are still saving my dog from cars on my street. every night. We walk in the roads and get out of the way when we see car lights. Also Waterproof. My dog swam in a creek one night because he saw a beaver. The red light went under about 5 inches for about 3 minutes 4 times. He didn't catch the beaver, but the water lit up in red so I always new where he was. Still 5 star after a year +

Enjoying these
For the price, these are great and I would definitely buy them again. They make our bikes more visible from a distance both day and night. Rechargeable is great. Dont expect these to put out as much light as a car headlight. but do expect these make you more noticeable.

Fantastic value. Absolutely recommended.
The high ratings and positive reviews for this bike light set are well deserved. Yes, of course you can buy lights for your bike that cost less. I seriously doubt you can get better value, though. I've been using these lights for two months now. At least 5 evenings a week I take a bike ride just before sunset and I often come home in the dark. With the Ascher rechargeable bike lights I feel confident that not only will I see what's ahead of me but - maybe more important - vehicles and pedestrians will see me well before they get near. Pros and Cons: Cons: I can't think of one. I'm completely happy and satisfied with this product. Pros: - Rechargeable: None of that searching for replacement batteries when your lights fail. - Holds a charge like crazy: The internal batteries have held a charge exceptionally well. I always put the headlight on at full brightness and set the taillight to one of the flash settings. I've only recharged the batteries once in two months. - Powerful headlight: I was really impressed with how far down the road the headlight illuminates. I can easily see street signs 100 yards away, and the path in front of me is lit up thoroughly so I can avoid obstacles, debris, etc. Oncoming traffic can, I'm sure, see me just as well as I see them. - Excellent water resistance: One evening I was caught in a sudden, unexpected heavy downpour while riding my bike. The lights never even flickered, and I've found absolutely no evidence of rust or corrosion since then. (I live in Florida, very close to the saltwater.) - Easy attachment to the bike: No tools required. You can literally install each light in 5 seconds, either on the handlebars or the seat post. Bottom line: An excellent buying experience. An excellent product. Excellent value. In the long run, you're going to be glad you purchased this light set.

Just rode my bike from Florida to California with these ...
Just rode my bike from Florida to California with these and they worked very well. These lights are not for "night riding" ie if you're planning to ride extensively at night, you should get lights with more power. However, these lights were more than enough for my rides that started early (before dawn), or my rides that went late (at dusk), and a few very foggy days. I did use them in the middle of the night a few times, paired with a powerful headlamp, and they sufficed. But once again, they're safety lights, not head and tail lights. They never ran out of battery. I probably charged them once a week, and used them both once a day. They're still working and I'll keep using them! ONLY downside is that the rubber straps broke after a while, but I think it originally came with extras so not a huge deal.

Fantastic little lights for the price.
These lights are great. They're super bright and last a long time on a single charge. Just the other day, I took one off my bike and used it at the bus stop at night so that the bus driver would see me and stop. The bus driver thanked me for using the flashing red light and said it was "really bright! I saw it from all the way down the street!" They are a little smaller than I expected them to be, both of them are about the size of a flattened golf ball, but they don't need to be any bigger. The straps stay tight and the headlight lights up a large enough area to see where you're going in the dark. They also really are water-resistant. It rained unexpectedly on them for several hours and they both worked fine the next day. Very happy with these lights.

Better than expected
It is so rare that a product is better than one hoped for! I first bought the Ascher bike headlamp for my cane! I am an elderly person who finds having a light on my cane a tremendous advantage. First, it means I can be seen crossing dark streets at night. Second, if you try to carry both a cane and a flashlight, you quickly discover that you are out of hands to, say, open a car door, or reach into the mail box. What I liked about the Ascher light was: 1. It came with an extra red light. 2. They are rechargeable. No more fooling with coin batteries. The batteries hold a charge for a good long time. 3. They came with TWO isb charging cables. 4. They are very easy to attach and detach. 5. They change color when charged, making it easy to know when you can take them off charge. 6. Four different settings, bright, two flashing, and one "low-drain." I liked them so well, I bought them for my two grand children to mount on their bikes. Just a great, great product for both purposes. I hope, now that I have written this review, they won't raise the price too much. (};-)]

Provide Better Visibility While Biking
These little lights are the best and do exactly what you want them to do. Plenty of reviews describing what they are and how to use so I will address a couple complaints I read. The rubber bands (you get 4) are just that...rubber. So don't be stretching them too hard or far or they will break. Just clip one end onto the light, wrap around any bar on the bike and affix the other end to the plastic lip on the clip. Another complaint I read was that one of the plastic clips broke. Again, don't pull on the clip too far or hard. You need to pull it out just enough to get one end of the rubber band inserted and in place. If you pull too hard it's going to break. Finally, the materials used are basically just plastic casing with LED lights inside. If you drop or mishandle chances are they are going to break. At this price I didn't expect high quality materials. That being said they work great. I generally set them to the slow blink mode as I think that creates the best visibility in traffic. If you are riding at dusk or in darkness they definitely stand out. I have noticed since putting them on that oncoming cars do notice them and start moving over a little earlier. I generally charge once a week but could go longer. Since a bike is basically nothing but tubes, you can pretty much put them whereever you want so versatility is available. Very happy with this purchase.

The best and I've tried most...
Just ordered my third set of these [have a few bikes and I will not ride without lights]. The absolute best; and I've tried a few. All more expensive by the way. They're rechargeable, fit most head tubes as well as handlebars and they give you extra straps. They are remarkably bright [can be seen from the side too] with three bulb pattern and the charge lasts quite a while. Lastly, they look cool ~ round chrome like shape. Don't even think about others...
